I love co-ord sets. But it’s honestly so hard to find a shirt and a bottom that both fit correctly in the stores. So when I first FIRST began learning how to sew a couple of years ago, the first few things I made were skirt + crop top sets. Now that I kind of know how to sew more, I decided to make this red co-ord set. It is my first time designing shorts but it wasn’t too hard to make!
Honestly, I had a lot of fun making this red co-ord set. The shorts were pretty easy to put together and there is an invisible zipper in the back so I can get into them. The top was a little harder because I ended up needing to redo the elastic casing. But other than that, everything was smooth sailing. Putting the lace on the top was a lot of fun and super easy to do-I all I did was cut out pieces of lace and used fabric glue as an adhesive. The only thing I wish was that the linen didn’t wrinkle quite so much. I swear, I ran over those shorts with an iron before shooting these pictures!
